Revolution did not come from one day to another. The desire of independence grew as the British imposed rules (known as ACTS) to the colonies. Through many 'bricks' - reasons why being a colony was not bearable anymore- the idea of separation from the mother county was built. One of those 'bricks' was the Tea Act (explained in the ACTS section) that led to the Boston Tea Party.
